Perfect Groom's Attire

TUXEDOS:
The tuxedo is always a classic. A good tuxedo is formal wear at its very best. Simple, elegant, and classic. The tuxedo has been the standard for men’s formalwear for years. Think 007, Cary Grant, and Sinatra.

A Few Tips:
- Gray or white tuxedos are strictly wedding attire, whereas black tuxedos can be used for multiple events.
- Cummerbunds have become a fashion faux paus. Go with a vest. No Colors. Remember that there are flowers to coordinate with. Go with Black or Silver. Pattern or not, it’s your choice. Don’t forget the matching handkerchief.
- Either Bow ties or long ties are appropriate. Black, white, silver, the choice is yours. The bow tie is the mainstay of the classic tuxedo. It’s the safe and classic look most Grooms decide to go with. Ties are a nice alternative to this tradition. A tie is modern, sleek, and can set you apart from your Groomsmen wearing bow ties.
- Collared shirts are fashionable with either tie type. The Wing Collar is fading, but still doable with either tie type. Pleated Shirt or Fine Ribbed shirt
- French Cuffs are a must. Maybe you’ll get some cuff links for your Groomsmen.
- If you go with a real bow tie, make sure you know how to tie it or have some one who knows how to be at your wedding. Click here for our How To Tie a Bow Tie Lesson. (Coming Soon…)
- Tails are for conductors. Not cool, in our opinion. But, to each his own.

SUITS:
A refined suit can also leave a lasting impression. A fine tailored suit is hip, young, and a refined alternative that almost anybody can pull off. A suit can be a practical option for many grooms. After the wedding, a suit can be used for a variety of occasions. Your wedding may be the perfect excuse for investing in one. Most high quality suits don’t come cheap. Quality rarely does. But a well-made suit can last you a lifetime if it’s properly taken care of. In recent years, a suit is has become an acceptable alternative to tuxedos. A suit can offer more flexibility when it comes to personal style. Think Ocean’s 11, George Clooney, and Jude Law.

For a less formal wedding, a nice suit can still be classy. A black pinstripe suit will really look sharp next to your beautiful bride with or without a tie! Again, take it a notch (or two) higher than the typical suit you would buy.
Different brands have different fits. For example, Prada makes suits that tend to be somewhat fitted, Armani tends to be on the looser side and Hugo Boss tend to fit the tall, slender person very well. Find a brand that matches your budget, fit, and style, and stick with it.
Beach weddings can be extremely causal. Linen pants, a fine white pressed suit and barefoot. Stylin’!
Regardless of what you decide to do, make sure the suit you’re wearing matches the mood and theme of the wedding.
